Geplapper vorne weg: Auf welches Buch freut ihr euch in nächster Zeit am meisten, aufgrund der Prämisse? Bei mir wäre es der dritte Band der Tower Knights Reihe, da es eine Art Adaption des Rattenfängers ist. Mal was neues, aufregend, anderes. Derweilen, hier mal die Rezi zum zweiten Band.

„Song of the Dawn“, von Angela J. Ford, ist der zweite Band der Tower Knights – Reihe und nach dem ersten, den ich mochte, musste dieser gelesen werden.
Ich liebte das Dorfsetting. Es war geschmückt mit Mythen, heimischer Lore und Fantasie und kleinen, unbedeutenden Dingen, die es einzigartig machten. Manchmal fühlte es sich an, das als während ich es las, seine Geschichte selber entschlüsselte. Wie immer war Angelas Schreibstil lyrisch und berührte mein Musikliebhaberherz. Einfach nur schön. Der Spannungsbogen blieb konstant auf einer Länge und die Actionszenen waren gut gemacht und fühlte mich bespaßt.
Mila, die Protagonistin, war eine starke Frau, mit so einigen Probleme im Gepäck und dadurch war sie mir noch sympathischer, erreichbarer. Doch trotz all dem, wünschte ich mir von ihr ab und zu mal, dass sie auf eigene Faust mehr untersuchte und nach Antworten kämpfte, als ständig sich abspeisen zu lassen mit ein paar Erklärungen. Ezra war ein toller Love – Interest. Charmant, gütig und voller Konflikte. Aber! Irgendwie blieb er mir unnahbar, emotional wie gedanklich gesehen.
Die Geschichte fand ich ein wenig schwach. Da waren keine große Wendungen, geschweige Überraschungen und die meisten Dinge konnte man erahnen. Echt Schade.

Das Bucht hat von mir 4/5🌹bekommen.

„Song of the Dawn“, from Angela J. Ford, is the second book of the Tower Knights – Series and after reading the first one, which I liked, I had to get this one.
So, I loved the village premises. It was full of folklore, magical myths and interesting little things, which made the whole outlook of the story, like a fairytale. And it kinda felt like, I was unravling the secrets within this setting. As always, Angelas writing was here lyrical and beautiful for my musical heart. The overall charging and the action, also the monster, was well done and I can´ t complain here.
Mila was a strong, but troubled women, which just wanted to find her place in the world and she found it in the unlikest places. It made really relate to her. But sometimes I wished, she would have investigated a little more about the ongoings of things. Ezra was great love interest, full of compassion and conflicts. But, somehow I was missing the spark between us. Like, I could understand him, but didn´´ t feel for him. Quite confusing.
I found the story a bit lacking. Like, there were no big plottwists or reveals. Most of the things you could guess happening and that made the story to predictable for my taste. Mhm.

So, to sum everything up. I liked, no, loved the premises, the folklore and the Mila as our protagonist. I would recommend it.
